The Wattle Bird Art Screen

Featured on The Block 2018 in Norm and Jess’ Terrace Week–winning penthouse, the Wattle Bird Art Screen is a limited-edition sculptural artwork created in collaboration with renowned artist George Dimovski.

Depicting the dynamic flight of the Australian Wattle Bird, the piece translates fine art into architectural form, balancing movement, shadow, and precision. Laser-cut locally in Melbourne from black powder-coated aluminium, the screen delivers crisp detailing and long-term durability suited to Australian conditions.

Comprising two panels with folded edges for ease of hanging, the artwork is designed to sit confidently within contemporary outdoor settings. Optional integrated LED lighting enhances the sculptural form at night, casting layered shadows that shift across walls and planting.

Originally showcased as a dramatic backdrop on the Gatwick rooftop terrace, helping secure a perfect score of 10 from each judge, the screen has become one of our signature sculptural statements.

Custom sizing is available. The Wattle Bird Art Screen can also be produced in Corten steel or powder-coated in a custom colour to suit your project.
